...anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.
(John 14:12-14)

This is one of those scriptures that makes me stretch and stretch and stretch and reach heights unknown to man. Sometimes a part of me says this can't possibly be true, so I am faced with the dilemne, is the book true? I believe it is. All of it. I can sense internal dishonesty within myself when I try to intellectualize parts of it out. Not to mention the book says not to remove or add to one single dot or word, and I don't think the warning is just for translators or copiers, but also for my brain and heart. Don't ignore it or rationalize it away or add to it so that it fits into my neat little box. It says that the spirit searches the deep things of the CEO and makes them known to us- this is where I must wrestle, with Him in intimacy, not with words on a page that I can make so impersonal and play around with. He knows what He means in what He said, and I must search out this Truth in Him, no matter how much it makes me squirm and stretch.
