waaaaa

Today I discovered that I am a whiner.

I don't like this. Both the whiner part and the discovery part.

Why do my plans not materialize? Why are things not going my way?

I have no right to be a cry baby. The CEO has always made things happen in a different space/time continuum than anything I could half-ass construct.

...so help me god...to brace myself like a man.

I feel ya, but again I must say, if whining is a problem then you may as well tear the book of psalms out of your Bible and toss them in the trash. There are more Whine psalms than praise psalms. And they are good enough to make the Bible, unlike your blog... or mine.

Take heart. You are not alone...

Many blessings...

"to brace yourself like a man" says everything. Because we are "man" we have been programmed by religion to think that if we perform or do things a certain way God will answer or not answer our prayers. However, we are backwards with the truth. We don't have to do certain things or do without certain things to make Him love us. Think about how much you love your children and want to bless them. He loves you more than that. He wants you to brace yourself with His presence. In Psalms 16:11 it says "You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand." What more could we want? To deal with this life and have eternal pleasures beginning right now. We have all been whiners, but HOORAY for His unconditional love forever. He wants us to soak in Him and allow Him the opportunity to be our daddy.

X - thanks.

I have nothing against whining in and of itself. Just against my own whining when I see the CEO obviously doing things in a different manner I'd have chosen.

El - brace myself like a man

Don't read anything into that.

It's not evidence of a hidden performance mentality. It's just a quote from the CEO to Job...that I have no right to question the CEO's actions and timing.

In the movie Mrs Doubtfire, Robin Williams tells his exwife, in character that "Winstons idea of foreplay was... Effie, brace yourself."

I am laughing my head off.

My bad! I only meant to encourage. Wrong choice of words on my part. Blessings to you and the family! Elaine
